課程概述

Cross-cultural management has been increasingly recognized as a full part of the managerial process, highly relevant to the implementation of international business strategies. This course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the issues involved in inter-cultural communications and interactions by class discussion over a variety of real-case practices, global virtual teamworking in X-Culture project, and role-plays in the scenario of international business negotiations.  

課程目標
 1. To understand the concepts, tools and frameworks that can be used to manage cross-cultural activities
2. To become more aware of your own culture as a starting point to understand others’ cultures and to analyse the impacts of cultural distance on international business activities
3. To identity the cross-cultural risks and to resolve the potential conflicts and misunderstandings in any form of inter-cultural interactions and collaborations
4. To develop and improve your cross-cultural skills and cultural intelligence, inspiring global opportunities in your future career

2. First class on Sep 8 will be offered both online (video will be uploaded onto NTU COOL & Google Classroom by the end of the day) and in class. If you cannot attend the physical class, please email TA Johnson Lee (r10724043@ntu.edu.tw) for the advanced notice.
